A fun story fishing blue marlin in the Malacca Strait

in #writing7 years ago

Dense clouds followed the night wind. Vaguely fishing lights are visible in the distance adorn the panorama of the Malaca Strait Sea by early morning. It was about 3am, my dear friend (34) did not slip a moment of doubt to wade through the Malaca Strait Sea even though the night was still so thick.

The dorsal fin is high and sharp, the height more than the width of the fish body. The tail fins are large and pointed sharply.

Famous marlin fish are hard to fish. Although the bait is correct and the fish have seen the bait, not necessarily eat it. Often the marlin fish just poke the bait with its pointed 'spear', then move away again.

At about 04.00 we stopped the machine. The place is considered strategic and much preferred blue marlin fish. So with alacrity both threw about 40 floating kawil (fishing rod) in each end of the fishing line has been installed tuna fish as bait. Floating kawil is a fishing rod attached to a jerry can as a buoy.
Morning starts greeting.Sunrise seems clearly emerging from the west, golden light between the hills a sign that this day will be bright.A long time ago, one yellow jerry cane which is about 50 meters from the boat seemed to move.At that time also immediately start the engine the boat to approach.
The result, after about 1 meter longer from the boat, blue marlin fish are still seen violent directly hit with a beam so as not to loose. It was a relief to see the struggle. It was not easy to catch blue marlin. "It's medium size, size about 75 kg,".

Good cooperation with the ship's captain or boat captain should be done. The captain of the ship is deft to help the string strings not break. The way can rewind the ship to position the rope slack and there is a chance to roll up.

The characteristic of this fish is its pectoral fin is never stiff, even when it is dead can still be folded into the body. The dorsal fin is high and sharp, the height more than the width of the fish body. The tail fins are large and pointed sharply. Fish of this type include aggressive fighter who often jumps into the air, as if not tirelessly They swim fast and strong. Resistance is stronger than Pompano, they swim fast and strong. But it is blue marlin fish visually more fascinating because the blue lines on the body more beautiful than the plain black marlin fish.

If the bait is eaten, pulling the marlin to the boat is not as easy as pulling tuna or mackerel. Because, once the hook is involved in his mouth, a fish whose weight can reach this ton of spontaneous moves wildly. For a moment he showed his anger by swimming as if heading to the bottom of the sea. When he feels his effort is useless, he changes his moves 'like ripping the sky'. At least his whole body appeared on the surface, then moved brutally to the left and right. He can endure hours trying to release the hook that hurt his mouth.

must have been a rough fight

Your story reminds me of the book, "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway.

@curiesea While thinking about the variety of contents that should be able to prosper the fishermen. Unfortunately only a small portion of fishermen whose economic life is improving. The rest of the fate is less fortunate and still oscillate erratically like a wave of sea water

@Curiesea is amazing, you always make a surprise in every post you, it seems they are very happy with their catch. The aceh people call it with ungkoet thoek right ???
