I never wanted to comment on this album too soon because if you know Tool you know that it can be wrong to judge their music quickly. on the other hand, I did not want to express my opinion from the point of view of a fan of Tool. First of all, let me say that the production of this album is the weakest production that Tool has ever had. everything is very loud and even the sound of clipping and clicking can be heard at work. contrast and sound stage of this album are taken as a result of this extremely long mastering, and the sounds are very aggressive.of course, the sound of the instruments is well separated, but the main reason for such production is that everyone can clearly see all the details and performances of these obsessive experts!

This album is a perfect album. this means that the music presented in this album cannot be criticized much. as usual with mixed rhythms, deep and philosophical lyrics, Adam Jones exceptional guitar at its peak at this album, long tracks of over 10 minutes, all and all still here.

But I want to ask the recurring question, "Was it worth the 13 years of patience?" Let me answer that no album is worth 13 years of waiting! Let's be rational. It did not take them 13 years to write this album they have various other reasons for this delay. so this is not an album that has taken 13 years of hard work, no album needs 13 years to be great! so of course it is not worth 13 years!
They wrote their masterpiece Ænima in 3 years! their best Lateral work in 6 years! these are logical numbers, but 13 years? no, don't get so upset. honestly, not only does not make an album extraordinary for 13 years, but it spoils it in many ways!

Excessive obsession with making this album has even influenced the composition, playing, mixing and mastering of this album. this album is perfect but a lot of perfect! to the extent that in order to be perfect, they avoid taking risks to a large extent and in this conservative album, there is nothing new about the contrast I expected. the contrast that existed between their previous albums, and with each record, a newer atmosphere was created.
