This is my review about a new version of an old traditional song called "Green Sleeves" by Rosilind McAllister

Today I came back with a traditional English Folk song, it is a broadside ballad by name "A Newe Northen Dittye of ye Ladye Greene Sleves", the tune is found in several late 16th & 17th century sources. In September 1580 Green Sleeves was registered by Richard Jones at the London Stationer's Company.

The song which I am sharing it with you is a new version of it which was covered by an amazing vocalist Rosalind McAllister, she did this record in 2013 and its from her album "The Songs of Loch Lomond. the song writer of this song is known as "Wilson".

Most of us might be familiar with this classical piece, I have heard it from when I was a child, I remember that it was played as a soundtrack for a cartoon. what I can feel about this song is feelings like Honor and Love and it makes you feel like it sends you to a dreamy land. somehow it is like someone who could not reach his love or lost his love. (due to the sad melodies) it makes me feel like that, though you will also feel joy because this music is also soft and bright.

The music starts with Violin and Acoustic Guitar and Harp and we can also hear Cymbals sounds, the first verse starts with the Harp Arpeggio and the beautiful vocal of McAllister, in the chorus part which it is my favorite part of this song there is a Cello with reverb performing and after that part the second verse starts with drums tama and Acoustic Guitar and Classical Bass added this time, the next chorus Strings performing higher notes and the Instruments volumes becomes louder, she sings it powerful and when the second chorus ends the melodies of the song performed with a flute sound and some background riffs with Drums and Acoustic Guitar, the ending part of this song is with the chorus and a Violin and Harp melody at the end.
