This is a review about "Good Riddance"(Time of Your Life) a song by Green Day band
Hi guys, today I came back with a review about Good Riddance, It's a song from the American Rock Band Green Day which it was released as the second single from their 5th studio album Nimrod in October 1997. This song was written in 1993 by Billie Joe Armstrong and it was called "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", Though this song is about his girlfriend named Amanda but many people could feel related to this song and they have different perspective about this song. Good Riddance was different than all the other songs in the Dookie's album and their producer Rob Cavallo was unsure of how to structure its recording.
In 1996 this song was appeared as a B-side to the European Single for "Brain Stew" and "Jaded". The first version of it only had acoustic guitar but later when Armstrong decided to record the song again for Nimord Album in 1997, Cavallo also suggested to add strings to it. It became a calm and peaceful music with a great lyrics.
The tuning of this song is E A D G B E and it is in key G and its time signature is 4/4 with 98bpm, it is in Mixolydian mode (related to Medieval mode/an old Greek Mode) What I can say about this music is that it is full of real emotions and the acoustic guitar which Billie is playing makes you feel like it is so close to you and his vocals melodies are heartful, The rock riffs which he is playing and the violin lines are mixed well with each other and making an awesome and peaceful music with soul in it.
I remember once I was listening to this song after I had a bad moment and it made me feel so good and I was walking and listening to it and thinking that I have to take things easy and just trying to be happy and don't let things make me feel negative and empty.
