A song which most of you might know when you had a sad moment in your life! This is my review of My Immortal by Evanescence
This wonderful song is called My Immortal, It is a song by Evanescence band which it was a track from Fallen Album and they released it in 2003 and every time we listen to it, It sounds so fresh and I wont feel tired of it when I listen to it for a long time a great composition, a beautiful vocals which was done by Amy Lee, a song full of pains and passion and memories.
Immortal was written by the Guitarist of the band "Ben Moody" and "Amy Lee" (Vocalist) and "David Hodges" (Keyboardist). producers of this song are Ben Moody and Dave Fortman. At the end "Graeme Revell" (Composer) arranged The orchestral parts in the song.
There are several version of this song which the first version was released on 2000 and it was on their demo album called Origin and another version of it was released in Mystary album on 2003. The original version was later included on Fallen album but with some changes, it was featuring piano and strings and there was also a section which Band was performing in the bridge as the final chorus starts (Metal section) with some nice riffs and solo and a heavy drums.
The song is in the key of A and its tempo is 75 bpm, It starts with a romantic and emotional Piano and Vocals and later Strings added to the song and as the song moves forward more instruments adds and the whole band starts performing with Drums and Bass, Electric Guitars and at the end of the song we can hear some FX sounds. it really is an amazing piece.
from my opinion the song can be about two lovers which one of them lost the other one and she is singing about the memories of the past which Amy Lee performed it so well, from the information I have found about this song, The lyrics first was written by Moody when he was in High School which later when Amy wanted record it they had done some changes to it, Amy could feel related to the lyrics as she had lost her younger sister and I think that's how this song is not a fake cry or pain and we can feel it like a realistic feeling.
