Welcome to Steemit Learning Challenge Season 26 Week 4. I would like to thank all participants who showed their interest and give their wonderful entries. In this week we will explore the Savory Appitizers , their spices, their cooking , and a food recipe that is the most popular.

In previous week we have discussed about Introduction of Appetizers ; they are small in portion and savory dishes. They are served before the main course and set the tone for the culinary experience to come. Appetizers enhance the beauty of your table and give a good impression, especially if we talk about gatherings. You can show your innovative creativity by adding different ingredients and presentations; in short, appetizers offer endless opportunities for creativity and experimentation in the kitchen.

There are different types of appetizers like hot , cold, fried ,baked ,savory, finger etc. They may categories on cooking techniques , ingredients and presentation.

Baked Appetizers

Mini bite-sized baked food are used as Baked Appetizers. A large number of foods can be included in this category like mini pizza, stuff pastries ,stuff breads or buns, shawarma etc. In the making of these appetizers baking is done. The most attractive part on table is baked items. Baking always show your culinary expertise and give value to the menu, specially if we talk about gatherings.

Mini Shawarma

Today I'm making mini shawarma, the dough that we ate making can be used to make mini pizza and buns or breads so you can make different Appitizers from yhe dough.

Ingredients for dough :

Ingredients
-All purpose flour 2 cups
-Milk½ cups or as needed
-Sugar 1 tsp
-Yeast 1 tsp
-Salt ½ tsp or to taste
-Cooking oil as needed
-All-purpose flour as needed for Sprinkle

Making

  • For dough take ½ cup milk and mix in sugar and yeast and leave for 5-6 minutes to rise.

-In a bowl take all purpose flour and add salt and then kneed with the yeast mix and leave 1hr and 30 minutes to rise again up to double in size

-Make dough balls spread oil on the surface and cover to give rest for 5-10 minutes.

-Roll out the dough ball applying all-purpose flour and press or poke the bread with fingers or fork.

-Cook on medium flame until cooked from both the sides.
-Keep covered in cloth to prevent the bread from drying out and set aside.

Ingredients for chicken filling:

Chicken boneless 500g
ginger garlic paste 1/2tsp
Chilli powder as per taste
Salt as per taste
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Vinegar 1tsp
Soya sauce 1tsp
Whole spices 1/4tsp
Food color orange 1/4tsp

Making :

  • Mixed all ingredients in chicken and marinate it for two hours.

  • Take 2tbsp of oil in a pan and fry marinated chicken and cover the pan .cook it for 8-10 minutes.

  • When chicken dries it ready to serve.

Assembling of shawarma

Ingredients

Mini pizza bread as needed
Chicken Filling as needed
Capsicum chopped
Carrots chopped
Cucumber
Mayonnaise as needed
Chilli garlic sauce as needed
Black pepper as per taste
Salt as per taste
  • Sotey chicken filling with chopped vegetables for 1 minutes . Sprinkle salt over it.

  • Make sauce by mixing mayonnaise, garlic sauce, black pepper and salt. Mix well.

  • Spread sauce over bread and put chicken veggies filling and add more sauce if you want. Now wrap it.
    Mini shawarma is ready to serve.
