It's not a plug, that is a bot that crawls for duplicate content. It can be good or bad depending.
Because you have a level of pseudo-anonymity, the community may perceive it as slightly negative. However, since you have an established brand around the Web there are ways to increase the perception of validity (one of which is that you post Steemit content to your Twitter account).

No sweat man, just want to make the early part of joining the network easy for you because it really wasn't for me and you're a solid writer.
Real creatives need to be fostered here and receive help during the onboarding process. Just don't be discouraged by the first few weeks...but all considering, I doubt that's an issue
