THE WORKS OF GOD
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John6:28-29

It's a crucial question that the Jews asked Christ: what shall we do, that we might work the works of God? In order words, what are the works of God? They realized that they have been coming to Christ with the hope to eat because He fed them miraculously before. Thus, the motive of their seeking for Christ wasn't for the love of God, but the love for food. Are you seeking God for what you stand to gain, while thinking you are doing the works of God?
Christ's answer to the question is a great revelation. Please understand that there's no 'works' of God, but there's a work of God. The activities are not the work. The work of God is to'believe in Christ Jesus'. This is the real deal,brethren. It means to do everything in line with the principle of our believe in Christ. Whatever we do because we believe in Christ, is the work of God. It means doing it because we love God, not because of what we stand to gain. It means pushing our interests aside, serving God because we love Him. Only one work of God: just believe in Christ.

Abba Father, thank you for showing us your work. We come today, believing in Christ Jesus, please establish us in the principle of your love, in Jesus name. Amen.
