Judge the words and not the money

My dear friends can you imagine a world where you are walking down the street and someone approaches you and after you finish talking they hand you 34 cents?

Or behind them is a wealthy computer whiz and he reaches in and pulls out a tip of say 10 dollars. Does that make what you said more valuable?

Maybe, because you will value the exchange and be able to attract others to listen with the money you can afford to be in better neighborhoods.

What are your words worth in a post?

Isn’t it amazing our words can be judged on the amount of money a post brings and where the money comes from?

Today is filled with wonder and amazing happenings, so what can speaking about it be worth?

I will tell you and then judge the words not the money.

We have the most beautiful garden spot in our front yard. It is not large but very magical filled with a tree my husband transplanted last year and beautiful flowers and plants. So sometimes I sit next to my front door and let Max my dog out next to the garden.

Today I decide to learn people’s names as they walk by on this sunny day, including their dog’s name. Did you know when people hear their name said it is like music to their ears? That is what I always heard only I have a hard time remembering names.

Now let me get back to sitting next to the garden, people always look over and smile. Today is special because today a car slows down and the lady rolls down her window and says it is just beautiful.

My response, “What my dog?”
She says, “Your garden.”

Since she has her window down and car stopped I ask, “What is your name today I am learning names.”

“My name is Daya. My father named me after Daya Mata.” This brought tears to my eyes. This name is sacred to me, as I know who Daya Mata is. I tell her and she parks immediately, gets out and we embrace. This is a spiritual meeting and I am so happy my heart is open.

@ericvancewalton will know this name too.

This is all I will tell you of this story for now other than we plan to meet for a private meditation on Thursday with a couple of other people.

Opening our hearts brings many blessings. – my quote

wow sounds like we are all meeting who we should at this point and time. yay meditation circle and for 2 yrs! woohoo

That is wonderful... meditation is so healing. I hope to meditate with you in person one day.
I have meditated for many years and have been in various groups. My husband and I meditate together daily.
Yes, you would understand and I believe many things are coming from this meeting as it was very healing.

@rebeccabe yes so very much so. LOL
that would be super amazing! you two are doing it right, :)
those that meditate together stay together. love it
oh yes, regarding the healing.

What an incredible moment @rebeccabe! I’ll never tire of this kind of thing. I have Sri Daya Mata’s signature on my Kriyaban card, it’s one of my most prized possessions.

I have no words to describe these moments.
Daya Mata signed my card too. A story about that card.

Many years ago my purse was stolen and of all the things in my purse, I prayed for that card to be returned.

Back then there were no cell phones. Someone phoned me. My SRF card was found on a roof and returned to me.

Later I thought why didn't I pray for everything back. LOL

These moments are hard to describe. That's a great story about your card! Any idea how just the card ended up on the roof?

@ericvancewalthon Oh yes, my purse was stolen. They broke into the truck. I know what was I thinking? I was nearby by - got out of range. Anyway, a jogger was doing this near a park and then they threw the stolen items on a roof in a neighborhood nearby.

The roofers found it lol

Hey, I just did a post about 911 and buying bangles...another occurrence. We are truly protected through meditation. I got chills writing that to you. whew!

here's the link.. https://steemit.com/remembrance/@rebeccabe/911-remembrance-the-day-we-bought-bangles-bda4c52660e66est

Wow, I'm so glad you got the card back! What a strange feeling it is to have something stolen like that. It's happened to me a few times in my life. I'll head on over and read your latest post...thanks for the link!

well right now, for those who did not read it, it is worth 23 cents. and for those who read it, i don't know, could you get the price on it? i know i suck at putting prices on things that should have a price :D

How much is love worth. That what my post is about, opening your heart which is priceless.
However, I will not turn my nose up to any funding that comes my way. Lol

i was just kidding. i was thinking more about kindness and opendnes (not sure is it a word :) ), but you can't really price that, and it would not be good if you could.

I know ... also my post is about how strange this environment is. Where we are litterly tipping each other.. lol

maybe you should look at it as support :D than it is less strange :D

I enjoy thinking strange..haha!
Really support is important in here that is why I am involved in various groups.

Who is daya mata exactly?

The book by Parmahansa Yogananda has been a great influence in leading me to meditation. Daya Mata worked directly with Yogananda. I googled and Wikipedia has more in-depth info. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daya_Mata

Post some photos your garden I would like to see COz gardening is my one of hobby.

Daya Mata
Daya Mata (Sanskrit for Compassionate Mother), born Rachel Faye Wright, (January 31, 1914 – November 30, 2010) was the president and sanghamata (mother of the society) of the only organization that Paramahansa Yogananda created to disseminate his teachings, Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) in Los Angeles, California / Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS), for over 55 years.

I feel people have selective memory & listening skills. They choose to do or not to do

true .. thanks for commenting :)

Hello my friend @lanceman thank you. 🎈

A post that encourages to re-think all we do, write, say and the way we should treat others. Thanks for sharing this @rebeccabe

Thanks for your comment @uwelang I appreciate that. So nice of you. :)

Kind of unrelated - but since we're talking about money - other civilizations in this world and on other planets don't use money but a barter system. Money is a used to control people. It'd be cool to live in a civilization like that!

The bank's greed screwed it all up. ;) I won't go into it here. You know the interest on pieces of paper and charging people to borrow money the bank never worked for. You are right barter would be cool.

Well on a final note - the Federal bank is as "Federal" as Federal Express.

I know. Good to know you are awake to what is going on.
