Word Poetry Challenge #22 : “Pag-Asa”
Hindi ko alam kung paano
Minsan ako rin ay nalilito
Sumusugal ng hindi sigurado
Tanong ko, “Makakaya ko kaya ito?”
Sa pagpikit ko sa gabi
Kinakausap ang aking sarili
Minsan, dumarating sa puntong ako’y nagsisisi
At kailanma’y hindi ko ito maikukubli
Dumarating ang ilang umaga
Araw at ulan ay lumipas na
Ngunit pangarap ko ay asaan na?
Kailan kaya kita makukuha?
Napapatingin sa itaas
Gustong sumigaw ng malakas
Baka sakaling marinig nya ang aking binibigkas
At ang pinto nya sa akin ay magbukas
Ilang beses na akong nabigo
Maraming pangarap ang nahinto
Nawa’y dinggin sana ako
At mukhang hindi ko na kakayanin ito
Ngunit tila pinagkaitan ako ng tadhana
Unti unti akong nawalan ng pagasa
Pagkatalo ay tinanggap ko na
Siguro ito nga ang nakalaan talaga
Nawala ako sa tamang landas
Hangga’t ako’y naging marahas
Hindi kilala ang sarili sa minamalas
Pagkat apoy sa puso ko ay tila di na magwawakas
Mapapait na karanasan
Hangga’t naging madungis ang aking pangalan
Kinutya ng karamihan
Ngunit di nila alam ang aking pinagdaanan
Hangga’t isang araw
Isang boses sa aki’y pumukaw
Tila isang direksyon sa buhay kong naliligaw
At ang dating malabo ay unti unting lumilinaw
Hangga’t nagising na lamang ako sa tunog ng kampana
Suot suot ang aking sotana
Rosaryo ay nakakabit sa aking bulsa
Hawak ang krus at ang bibliya
At duon ko lang nakita
Na ang buhay ay sobrang ganda
Huwag ka lang makakalimot sa Kanya
Pagkat habang may buhay ay mayroong pagasa.
