Who is your witness? and why!
After the hf20 debacle this is becoming more important.
It pretty much matters not how much sp, mana, or old fashioned vote weight you have "now" - If you do see this as a long term investment, and believe in your ability to gain sp, you need to have a say in who, what and why, all of you, including me.
I am not even going into the arrogance displayed by some old heads on here when nobody else could post or even add a comment, the less said about those people the better!
I was thinking about doing this post anyway and @bifilarcoil gave me the nudge I needed, so who do I vote for and why?
@ausbitbank is my top 10 witness, why? he is a driving force behind @informationwar and a proponent of free speech, a real truther.
@drakos is also my vote and in the top 20, I have been advised he is also a top person and the same as above, and incidentally I picked up my first vote from him just a few days ago.
@pharesim comes in at number 22 in the witness chart and also gets my vote, more or less due to the same as the 2 above.
@yabapmatt is my next vote as he is straight talking, and seems to have steemits interest at heart.
@bhuz also gets the nod, though to be fair I have not seen him around for a while.
@themarkymark is a given, as he shoots from the hip, takes no bs, and says it the way it is.
@therealwolf has made oh so many projects on here that work, and help people grow, that therealwolf is guaranteed my vote for ever.
@jackmiller Also a straight talker who is not afraid to call out the bs on here, more like him required to say the least.
@nextgencrypto what can I say about bernie? my favorite steemian from day 1. never afraid to say it the way it is, end of.
@kevinwong who left a lasting impression on me early on, I have no interaction with him now, though early impressions last.
@adsactly-witness Why? I have seen the whole movement doing some very impressive things, so he gets my vote.
@ats-witness Another superb person that is not afraid to call a spade a spade, and speak up, a top man indeed.
@ura-soul Another steemian that inspired me early days.
@fulltimegeek Well he could actually be my specialist subject :-) He has only announced being a witness 2 weeks ago and is already in at 72, famed for delegating 100's of thousands of sp when I got here, now he supports 100's of people with his geekbots, say no more.
@krnel Another truth talker, and a thoroughly decent human being.

@yehey As he goes around upvoting up and coming new talent and has a eye for quality.
So there you go, that is my list.

One thing about the essence to vote on witnesses i worry about is for the newcomers.
I mean it took me a year to get to this point and as steemit is getting ever more complex due to all those odd rules new people will need ever more time to dig trough bureaucracy. and then that quote pops into my mind. "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."
And that in itself kinda answers it on it's own...
If anythinig missing then it is intuitive solutions for the common things.
If witness voting is essential then witness stuff should be self explanatory, and thats not the case. I'm forced to do research. Doing some research is ok, but at this point I havn't even started and I really don't have a clue about ANYTHING that is witness related, And I'm really having to collect energy for this.
It feels like being forced to jump trough hoops like a circus animal, And I'm not a circus animal. I rather spend time on a DeepDives article then doing bureaucratic hula-hoop with non intuitive rules.
I will have a go at it, but on top of this i also have the policy wall crap. If that wall stops me more the 3 times then I probably don't bother. Yes i'm sick and tired of that STUPID thing.
However the Steempeak url rewrite could be a real lifesaver. :-)
How about this, just vote the people you like and trust. like I do?
