Witness Server Temporarily Down to Apply HF21 Hotfix!

Welcome to HF21 folks! This is my first post on the new version of STEEM. Seems that we had a bit of a snafu today when the blockchain switched over to version 21 of the STEEM blockchain caused by a simple oversight in the programming. Not a huge deal really, yes the blockchain stopped momentarily but a hotfix has been applied to the top witness nodes allowing the chain to continue on forward until the official steemd v0.21.1 can be released. We're expecting a release on more info to the public from Steemit Inc soon.

Not Our First HardFork Rodeo

We've had a few hardfork updates here on STEEM that have had some pretty nuts outcomes.. A few chain stops, a few unforeseen consequences and a few triumphs. This update to the blockchain didn't go as well as it could have but ultimately could have been a buttload worse. Yes, the chain stopping was a bit of a fuck up for sure, but the only reason it stopped is because their is a bunch of code regarding blockchain safety and "sanity checks" which ultimately is a good thing. Things are working as intended now, and that is what matters.

The @KLYE witness server should be up and running here tonight, currently manually compiling the hotfix patch to get my server up and going again. Did miss a few blocks but only because I woke up later than the time the HF21 code went live.. Next HF I'll force myself to be awake before and after the switch happens.

Edit: Seems my node or sysadmin skills are sucking ass today.. Replaying on v0.21.1 now... Should take about 3 days or so.. fml.
