So I woke up to these words of @acidyo 's the other day:

Hey everyone! We've got some big news for the @ocd project today! We have gone ahead and set up a witness account for the project under @ocd-witness!

In case you didn't know:

OCD is a Steem curation guild that helps new steemians and authors get exposure and supports undervalued content by upvoting or resteeming.

The OCD team, under their leader @acidyo, have recently launched the @ocd-witness account to help earn SP for their curation efforts.

As @acidyo further explains:

This will be a curation witness account, which means that the potential rewards will mainly be used to continue curating with them and the @ocd account and at the same time they will spread among everyone involved in the team.
Our plans in the near future are to re-steem more posts and keep the post rewards from the compilation posts at a profitable amount for the curators incentives. The witness account will be helping us to afford re-steeming more while adjusting the voting on post rewards!

Their project has been alive for over 6 months. They have over 35 curators for more than 11 different languages, looking for relatively new posts that have been overlooked or undervalued. Then they ask these authors to be nominated in their compilation posts which offers them more attention from their 3000+ followers and then the @ocd account, the curator nominating it, @acidyo and @anomadsoul reward the post with votes. They also resteem posts that have been tagged with #ocd-resteem and will be growing the amount of daily re-steems in the near future.

Isn't that great? The guys are doing an amazing job serving this wonderful community of ours and making sure it will keep getting new members and growing. They ensure that minnows won't get disappointed or discouraged to use the platform in their early beginnings. It is a great motivator and a wonderful idea and the whole Steemit community benefits from this initiative.

The OCD Team recently launched their @ocd-witness account in order to earn SP for their curation efforts. I consider this group to be an important and valuable contribution to the Steemit community, and as a token of my appreciation for everything they've been doing for Steemit, I have decided to share one of my witness votes with them.

The higher @ocd-witness climb the Witness Rank, the more income they will be able to generate which in return would mean more support and rewards for new Steemians. Needless to say, this would ensure this platform keeps growing which would be a win for everyone.
