Introduction

Hi, my nick is @grzegorz2047 and I become a one of the Witnesses. I decided to make this move because I feel that I need to grow my knowledge about blochchain technology. Steem blockchains looks promising and it's really easy to contribute as a user. That makes this idea successfull. I as a Computer Science student, care about developing my skills and not leaving behind new technology. I felt till right now that I'm missing something, that I'm little bit behing. Luckly, I found steem and steemit interface, where I could make first steps to blockchain technology. After about month I've created a bot @informator helping other polish people to introduce themself into this community, to inform them that here there's no place for plagiarism and low quality content. I have also contributed in some other ways making polish community grow a little bit faster. Of course I would be able to do it without other's people help. If you want something to change, you need to change something around you and then you can go further.

Server specs

Well, right now I started with a little bit not enough RAM so it forces me to upgrade my server next month, but I hope it will last this month without interruptions and will contribute to steem network.
Here are specs:

  • 4 core E3-1245v2
  • 32GB RAM
  • 2x 2TB HDD
  • 250 Mbps bandwith

I know specs are a little bit outdated especially RAM and HDD, but I think I'm going to fix this soon.

Why should you vote for me?

I'm experienced in running linux servers and I do programming so when an issue occurs I'll be able to handle it properly. As my future jobs will be related to technical stuff and as I use computer pretty often because of that I can react to any problems when they might occur possibly. I also going to support polish community and let it grow faster so we can be a significant contributor to steem comunnity as a whole. I'm also aware, that not many polish are witness so why not becoming one.

What are my further perspectives?

As I mentioned before, I want to contribute to community, I want to develop software helping users to make their interactions with steem much more easy then it's right now and I wish to keep steem blockchain alive as long as possible because I see huge value in this project and I know that it will grow bigger and bigger so it needs more servers to run.

Summary

I'm a tech guy with some experience who wants to mantain this project and evolve it to make it bigger and better.

Hello, 32 GB RAM is not enough. You need around 60 GB right now. I have 64 GB server and only 2 GB left.

I'm aware of that. That's why I'm going to upgrade it to 64 GB RAM next month. I Hope steem is going to scale somehow to decrease need of that amount of RAM. What is your experience with being withness?

Hi, @grzegorz2047, have a safe journey in the witness ride, you've got my vote.
