Witness Proposal: FUBAR-BDHR

Hello fellow steemites (or is it steemians have to figure that out one of these days). I'm FUBAR-BDHR (fubar-bdhr on steemit) and I would like your support as a witness. I became involved in bitcoin back in early 2014. Started off as miner and minded for over 2 years until it became cost prohibitive. During my time as a miner I did a lot of support on IRC for Slush's pool and even setup an support bot which is still being used. Converted a copy of the bot to help out on Bitcoin.com IRC as well where I can usually be found. Mined some other coins along the way. About a month and a half a go I discovered steemit and steem. Shortly after I began mining and promoting steemit. My witness/mining node is as follows:

  • Intel Core i7-4790 3.6ghz 4 processor/8 cores
  • 16GB RAM
  • 4TB SSD
  • Ubuntu 16.04
  • 12meg internet with backup line.

4 processors or, 4 physical cores?

Intel lists it as 4 processors but it's a single chip with 4 cores 8 threads.

You know saying, 4 processors is a completely different thing from saying 4 physical cores and 8 threads. Anyways, I'm interested, can you "scale" your ram?(add more in the future)

Sorry but I got that straight from Intel's description.

Yea it can be easily upgraded to 32gig. I planned to do it and this system too at some point just didn't have the funds when I built it. Figure it was better to put more in a good MB and CPU than memory. Lot easier to upgrade the memory.

Ok , I was just asking that, since cpu power isn't really to important for Steem, but ram is, as a witness you should be able to "scale with the system". I was asking that just to make sure that I'm voting for a good witness! :))
