WIKILEAKS | US Contactor 'Stratfor' Using Wikileaks For Intelligence Gathering

in #wikileaks7 years ago

Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to search for Wikileaks on Wikileaks.
To my surprise there were 1000s of return results. 46,707 results to be exact.

Lets have a look at some of the search results and the people who are talking about and using Wikileaks.

THE GLOBAL INTELLIGENCE FILES

On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal's Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor's web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

Biggest issue are the Peru cables that discuss drug-trafficking,
especially the one that implies current Commander of the Army General Paul
Ua Silva. He's denied any links to drug-traffickers.

Taking Stock of Wikileaks

Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, said over the weekend: “Geopolitics will be separated into pre- and post-cablegate phases.” A number of developments on Monday seemed to support his bold thesis, or at least give credence to the supposition that geopolitics will have to take note of the “post-cablegate” era. Nonetheless, STRATFOR disagrees.

In short I have developed a multilingual web/document "scraping" application that works perfectly and in an English only respect that gives me the ability to search, hone in and ferret out data in web pages and documents to an unparalleled "seamless" degree of precision, accuracy, efficiency and flexibility. The WikiLeaks interface interface is but a primitive dinosaur compared to what I can realize with "filters" fulfilling new criteria or specifications for parsing the data on the fly.

I'm going to make a thread exclusively for wikileaks stuff that I pick up today and chuck it all in here on the analyst's list. Anything explosive that I come across will be repped but as per George's comments I'd say that if they existed NYT and DS would have run with them day one.

*WL assumes other indictments against other internet companies. The jerkoffs don't seem to realize there is a federal leak investigation going on, this is no surprise. WikiLeaks demands Google and Facebook unseal US subpoenas.

He is a delusional nut.
his ego will be his downfall

This is why it is crucial that we download all the files whenever they
are available.

Discussing the impact of Assange's arrest. 600 words Will be out within a few minutes of our Tactical meeting. Depends how long that runs. Hopefully before the 9am Annual.

pretty interesting details on a DIA task force to limit damage from Wikileaks.

  • euro girlymen. nordic euro girlymen at that.
  • assange couldn't handle the bush.
  • Whats with all the fucking scarves and bleached hair?!
  • He also looks like the villain in die hard 3
  • Looks like matt Solomon if you count out the actual face

Interesting to see that an intelligence contractor for the US government is using Wikileaks as an intelligence tool for the US government.
