📢 In Case You Haven't Heard... Whaleshares will Launch on September 1, 2018!
The countdown has begun, and the final touches are being put on the NEW Whaleshares Platform.

We are a community that revolves around inclusion, bringing people together and supporting their interests. When the new Whaleshares platform launches, their will be dozens of people (and you could be one of them) who will create their own "Whalecoin" token to support niche groups within the community. We will have groups for artists, photographers, writers, and musicians, among so many others. Teams of leaders and advocates will come together and leverage the power of their Whalecoins to support members with whale votes for their participation in the communities they represent.
I will also have my own Whalecoin called "POWERPICS" worth upvotes from my Whaleshares account as well.
We will be bringing @OfficialFuzzy's original concept of cross-chain tokens to life and using them to their fullest potential to share rewards across the Whaleshars community.
Official Sharedop and Launch Dates...
At the same time, the Whaleshares blockchain will be actively supporting the Bitshares community as well. The BitsharesTalk.io forums will be running on the Whaleshares chain and the bulk of the WLS token sharedrop will be on BTS holders. Supporting the Bitshares ecosystem and Decentralized Exchange (DEX) is a key component of the cross-chain Whaletokens we are encouraging users to create. Cross-chain synergy is always a win-win!

After the launch of the Whaleshares platform, the community of users will play an important role in deciding the future direction it takes. Governance, Arbitration, as well as future updates, features and functionality will be decided by the community itself... not just by a small team of devs like we see here on Steemit.

How do Bitshares holders get the sharedrop ?will holding BTS in the web wallet on genesis snapshot (01/08) be enough ?
Yes, holding BTS on the DEX (local or web wallet) will get you in the snapshot.
21 Million WLS Initial Supply and Sharedrop Distribution
Satoshi 10 (Development Team) = 2.1 Million
10% Brownie.pts = 2.1 Million
10% Whaleshares = 2.1 Million
70% Bitshares = 14.7 Million
The final ratio WLS:BTS will be calculated at the time of the snapshot.
You will claim the WLS tokens on the Whaleshares platform, the exact process will be announced on/before August 15th.
