Well, today was a bumpy one. It's my turn to battle the flu! Its been a weird month with the migraines and now the flu but I am keeping it positive.

I ended up staying home in bed today. I was going to go until I got sick to my stomach and figure it wouldn't be fair to everyone in the office if I got them sick. Though, my son loved it. He played beside me most the day and hung out. It really helped and kept me in a positive state of mind. He'd pat me on the shoulder now and then and tell me he's making me better, which was pretty awesome. Its those moments being a dad that I cannot put into words but are simply amazing!

I did get lots of sleep today, though about noon I couldn't sleep anymore and pretty much just laid down and relaxed. I did a lot of research though for fasting. I think I will be working out a fasting plan soon and do a post about it. Though I stumbled across a few articles/video of people doing prolong fasts, going as long as 30 days! It's just mind-blowing. I don't know how that can be healthy but before I judge it, I want to read more into. There was a time when I thought the Ketogenic diet was crazy, and here I am now doing it losing weight.

Inadvertently I didn't realize though until 6 PM rolled around, I fasted for 24 hours! Hahaha, I didn't mean to do it but I can say now I tried it. I wish I could have recorded my weight beforehand but I did weigh myself before I ate and I was at 224.7. Though I am feeling pretty sick so I can't properly gauge the fast as I was dealing with being sick, just something I thought was funny since I was doing the research on fasting.

Activity wise I didn't do much of anything. I did get up now and then to move around. I tried to help with the kids now and then as my wife was pretty much solo today. Though anytime I moved around I felt pretty funky so I just stayed in bed most of today.

Well here is today's break down:

Food For The Day

As I said above, I didn't eat until 6 PM. I really wasn't hungry but after realizing its been 24 hours since eating I figure I would aim for a high-calorie meal. I took my time eating it out of fear of being sick again but it made me feel more energized and I was able to hold it down. Haha, I don't want to go too far into detail about being sick but I did try and get my macro's in but I'm not going to beat myself up over anything as I am just trying to beat this flu.

I have been sipping on water and green tea throughout the day too. I didn't record that but I have been sipping away trying to stay hydrated.


Workout For The Day

Today since I was sick I didn't do much of anything. Though I did get a few steps in from just moving around now and then. Here is the break down as there isn't much to report on.


Sleep last night and day!

Well if there is anything thing to report I got lots of rest. I have been focusing on sleeping this sickness away. Its mainly how I deal with being sick. I am just a baby at times! Hahaha, but here is the run down.


Well, that about sums it up. There isn't much to report on. I don't want to plan too far ahead as I am still pretty sick. I am going to wake up early tomorrow and see how I feel before making any plans on anything, though I have been sick a few times so I might just make a trip to the doctor tomorrow. I'm a big baby though so we'll see! Hahaha

Haha, thank you! I used MyFitnessPal to track all my food. It's really nice to have some data to go off of but sometimes the listed food items are way off with the nutritional information. There have been a few times when I look back on things I had searched up and added that are all 0 for protein, carbs, and fat. Obviously, that can't be so I have to keep an eye on it.
