Wednesday walk challenge and Steem Basic Income Give away
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.
Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, resteem and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.
Walking along Park Ave
For this week's walk I went from Grand Central terminal along Park Ave the other morning, I had a destination in mind, but I will get to that later in the post

Early on my walk I came across this building beautifully decorated for the season, Park Ave is beautiful to walk along at anytime of year, but especially more so when all the Christmas and festive lighting is up along Park Ave and some of its buildings.

One of my favorite buildings along Park Ave is this one where they put out this large Nutcracker figures each year, I included a shot of a smaller one of the Nutcrackers in this building in my Tree Tuesday post yesterday morning, but this shows them better showing how many of them are out in front of this building.

Now I have not noticed this shop before Stefano Ricci, and there cool decorations and the silver Knight, I do wonder if I have missed it every year till now, or they just did this display this year for the first time.

I then came across this nice display in a gallery Window with the beautiful display but what really caught my eye was....

This cool little cow and how it was beautiful and fun painted, I know I recognize the image son it from I think a Childrens book but I am having a total Brainfade as to what the book was.
Now I venture off Park Ave and down 58th Street to go and see what this walk was originally planned to see

I am back by the Bloomberg building, I walked here to see if their tree was up and as you can see indeed it was

And in the morning light this building and tree is so cool, I had to get a second shot showing more of the area, funny thing is you may have read in a recent post how I was told I couldn't take photos here with my camera, well the morning I walked there I was only carrying my iPhone and taking photos with it, and saw Security walking towards me and I thought here we go, but no it wasn;t to talk to me but to a person right by me who was taking photos with a camera who was told to stop taking photos.
And here ends my walk for this week.
Steem Basic Income give away

Another wonderful walk with some lovely shots. I love the city this time of year. I've yet to make it into London, but will do before the Christmas season ends.
I forget that wednesday is the walk day and I took some shots of my 'walking commute' today to post tomorrow. Today I am at our little tea room in the the next village over so I slogged through the wet mud and field to arrive there, still a lovely way to get to 'work'.
I'll have to look more into this steemitincome thing. I know I'd love to have it be more of that, who wouldn't?

It's a wonderful challenge and have intent to join in. Living in a small town near Knoxville, TN I don't often get to see the Christmas spirit displayed in the big city. Thanks for sharing. May want to revisit the text just above the 2nd tree photo. I think auto correct may have changed your wording. When the sun rises will have to get out and do a walk and get in the game.

Nice shots from an exquisite area of NYC. With all these Christmas decorations, the entire area looks different...warmer and more welcoming than before. 🙂
