Drought's Over.

Central Texas is having a flood

The news media is loosing it's mind. There's been quite a bit of rain in the last few days. The soil is saturated. New rain just runs off. ....into the rivers and creeks. (duh). People who built on the waterfront of rivers now have more water than they bargained for.

(sigh)

It happens from time to time. Just because a piece of land is not flooded when it is bought doesn't mean it won't flood when it rains. It's called FLOOD PLAIN for a reason. People don't learn.

SO

Houses, cars, decks, and lots of other stuff....is going over the damn.

The highland lakes are full. The flood gates are opening in all of the dams.

Oh...did I mention that the news casters are loosing their minds.?

Just like the last time it happened....a couple of years ago.
