Andy Warhol is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century. From October 3rd you can see many of his works in a temporary exhibition in Rome.

Andy Warhol was born in 1928 in Pittsburgh and died in the city of New York in 1987. His original name is Andrew Warhola. His parents were from Slovakia, and that is where he got his childhood name from. He had a special childhood, especially considering that he suffered from chorea, a sickness than made him fear hospitals and doctors. He was also influenced by the death of his father in an accident at an age of 13 years.

In 2008, one of the paintings of Andy Warhol, Eight Elvises, was sold for more than 100 Million Dollars.

Is this image worth 100,000,000 USD? Someone for sure thinks so!

Above you can see what the Warhol image Eight Elvises looks like. Do you think it is worth that much money? For sure not, but for those who love the works of Warhol, it might be worth that much. We do not know for sure who actually bought Eight Elvises, so you will not be able to watch this work during the exhibition. But, there will be lots of other Warhol works at the exhibition, so get ready for some action if you are a Warhol-lover.

The Warhol exhibition in Rome

From October 3rd, you can see an Andy Warhol exhibition in Complesso del Vittoriano in Rome. But, where is this place? It is so easy, it is impossible to miss out on. Complesso del Vittoriano is a part of the monument built for Vittorio Emmanuel II, meaning it can be found in the heart of Rome. It is located at Piazza Venezia.

It is still not know for how long the exhibition will remain available, but hopefully, for a long time. More than 170 works from Andy Warhol will be on display during this exhibition, so make sure to check it out while in town. The museum is open every day from 9.30 until between 18.30 and 20.30 in the evening.
