THE ROOTS OF WAR, THE HOPE OF PEACE
I would have my words
Be like hot gound pepper
Searing your soul.
I shall grind my heart
And shake the words out
To be tasted
By hungry burning lips.
THIS is a bit of an odd post for me tonight. I love you all. And my poets heart is deeply troubled. That said let us begin.
That the US and EU allies have attacked Syria is very, very troubling to me. Our terrible love of war is once more ignited and I am grieved there are those among us, here on Steemit and in the nation, who lust after it. Their blood rises, the heat of war burns within their hearts, the flags are waving in hands maddened by patriotism and compelled by duty to a Republic that has fallen. And our unknown Masters who dictate our fates grin. You see war would be impossible but for us who are enslaved by our own ignorance. We don't even know who drives us to war, nor do we care. Let us march. Let us kill. We will. We will. Just tell us and we will kill.
Yes, war is impossible without us, the willing, the fools. We are told our dead are heroes. We are told they died protecting our freedoms. And we believe these lies because it is too painful and too horrifying to admit the truth. Our soldiers die for oil, and power and wealth and domination. They don't die for us or for God or for country at all. And what of those we kill? They are nothing. They are "other". They are "evil". The amazing thing: this is what they think of us. And they march to kill us for no greater reason than they are told to do so.
Will it ever stop? Not until we realize there is no war without us who march to its wild drums.
Tomorrow I begin series of posts I am entitling, "The Roots of War, The Hope of Peace". I hope to illuminate the human condition, and the roots of our behaviors, and in so doing point to a new path before us if we will only choose it.

War is really benefiting those that run the planet. They make money and live a very lavish lifestyle. We need to stand in peace and not give in to their crazy ideas of war. It is the humans of this planet that are suffering. We need to stand together and be the loving beings that we were created to be. Time to step away from the fear and greed.
Yes, indeed there must be a shift in consciousness, before it is too late. Well... it's always "too late" for those who die today as I write this. Blessings.

I look forward to yoru series. War, the armies, I cannot support. Yet having to support them to protect us from those wanting to do harm to us. A vicious circle that I do not want.
My friend's son wants to enroll in the army. I have told him many times over how horrible the army is, no matter what part of it you are in, you are putting yourself in the system. They own you. You become a pawn in their game, you encourage the systems by fixing their vehicles, fixing their computers etc.
It puts pain in my heart and anger. It is not good.
For men, perhaps only war and belonging to the legions, the army, is a greater drive than sex or food. It is an ingrained drive to be among the ranks, to fight, protect, defend and, yes attack. There is a bonding, a union, that occurs amongst men only exceeded by the ultimate union of spirits as each man struggles with his mates to survive in the very jaws of destruction. Spirits literally meld together in those moments of extreme pulsing madness. For a young man, full of testosterone and genetic imperative, to turn away is very difficult. Not all young men are this way, there are other paths genetic memory takes, but this, perhaps is the strongest.
I can see that happening. My friend told me he wanted to join since he was a kid without really knowing why nor did she know where the need came from. I think it's true what you say, but in that truth is sadness.
I am looking forward to reading your series.
My son has recently moved home and great healthy debate on these topics at hand are occurring. We welcome posts like you are intending to write as points of discussion.

I know the feeling all too well, (is it Christopher then?) as I share many of the same feelings, my friend. Plus, I don't understand why when I thought of you and clicked your user ID, steemit said I no longer Follow you, which I certainly didn't do... I think that happened before too, as well as with others... I've been checking out Minds dot com the last 3 days. Seems much better in many regards... such as no whale economy and more privacy. It must be some sort of bug here (or a pesky run-a-way bot... LOL) That other site is really growing on me. In less than 4 days already 107 subscribers, 1,700 views and 8 tokens (bucks). Went over there. Of course there is a different system to things. So set up the initial account. Will have to figure out how to make my way around. May not be able to do it today. I have an adrenal metabolic disorder that really causes problems. Docs are just now starting to figure the syndrome out. I've had this over 20 years and have spent out of pocket over 50,000 dollars on docs, cures, quacks, remedies, etc. But this does not include the loss of income and life energy. Who knows how much that is worth. Another $100,000? Anyway, frankly this will probably be my death warrant and at the rate I'm going not too far distant. Oh, well...no one gets out of here alive.
Oh wow, Christopher. Cheer up :) That's half the battle, if not more. I just did some quick research and, given the symptoms, it sounds like if I went to a Doc., they'd try to tell me the same, which especially hit me when first steemcleaners and then Mr. killer whale nuked me. If I went to the VA I'm sure they'd load me up with synthetic opioids. Doctors don't study shit about nutrition. Diet is so important.
How deep have you gone on that into Shamanism? Like have you done any sort of an ayahuasca vision quest sort of ritual to seek what the real mental/energetic source to it might be or what you have manifested it to show you? That's one thing I never did in Brazil, at least with ayahuasca, that I wish sometimes I did. Although, I view plant spirits as really just like a sort of permission slip sort of thing that just makes it easier for our higher self and body to do what it can do alone anyway under the right conditions and/or locations. I say all of this because pretty much all dis-eases stem from deeper embedded stuff in us, mind stuff, mentally. Like Big Pharma inventing complex names/labels (nocebos), where we can believe it into manifesting more, for their (placebo) meds to "fix". So much of it is a sort of hypnosis sort of thing to trigger and guide our beliefs. Sorry, I don't mean to go so deep on this. I just have a lot of doctors struggling with many of those issues, becoming more interested in alternative treatments and more advanced shamanism some too. I haven't spoken to many of them in a while, though.
Are you familiar with Dan Winter? He's deep into a lot of relative things to advanced shamanism in a more heady tech sort of physics ways. He's brilliant though. They reproduced some of the ancient technology of Kemit (Ancient Egypt) they call the Thera-Phi Plasma Healing, if the men in black haven't taken it yet ... LOL. Paul Harris is the main guy behind creating that.

The offered rationale behind the Syria bombing makes no sense. I have to wonder who benefits monetarily from upset in the Middle East. Apparently, they have control of the U.S., U.K. and French military.
