Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) or North Korea warns of a nuclear war that will occur after an American bombing operation near its border on Friday July 7, 2017.

In an editorial in Rodong Sinmun newspaper Sunday, North Korea accused Washington of involvement in "military provocations" designed to initiate a nuclear conflict in the region.

"The Korean peninsula is the largest gunpowder in the world that has the highest risk of nuclear war, and is the largest hotspot in the world that always has the risk of nuclear war," the editorial quoted Russia Today as saying.

"[Washington] must be moving into a new world war," Rodong Sinmun's editorial said, adding that the American military movement in the region was merely an attempt to divert attention from President Donald Trump's crisis on Capitol Hill.

After the launch of a missile Pyongyang claimed as its first ICBM, the UN Security Council held an emergency meeting and the US deployed two B-1B strategic bombers into the region. The aircraft fired a bomb in training in South Korea. The bombing of B-1B was escorted by US, South Korean and Japanese jet fighters.

Pyongyang recently also expressed its desire to continue the test of nuclear weapons explosions underground. But the US intelligence agency that monitors satellite imagery at the DPRK nuclear weapons testing facility, said on Sunday that between July 28 and 5 no significant new activity could be observed.

Pyongyang has detonated five underground nuclear bombs since the beginning of the 21st century respectively in 2006, 2009, and 2013; And two in 2016.
