Walk With Me Through The Waterfall Park

Wow, it's already been 7 days since my last steemit post. I'm slacking a little more than usual. With the weather being nice and work being busy, I'm just finding it hard to find time to sit down and write anything on a computer.

I'm currently on a little work trip for the next few weeks. It's a good chance to get a little different scenery in during this spring season - which is finally starting to happen in Quebec. It sucks that I'm gone during this time because there are a number of things I should be starting at home like the garden, the sailboat preparation, changing my winter tires, spring cleaning, etc. It's all going to get put off now and until I get back.

Oh well, that's life when you're a debt slave.

This morning was one of the warmer days we've had since I got here. The sun was shining, the wind was light, and birds were chirping. I decided to check out the park nearby. It said it had over 10 km of walking trails along the river with some waterfalls so it seemed like the perfect spot to get some photos for all of you on steemit.

Walk with me through le Parc des Chutes (the Waterfall Park)

I took a quick shot of the map on my way in. It actually came in handy because there were a few spots where the trails crisscrossed all over and I wanted to take the longest route possible. You can see that the main trail is only 3 km long, but by taking the extra trails that branch off I was able to stretch it out to about 5 km or so. Notice the list of things you can't do the right side. I'm surprised I was even allowed to walk in there with a cellphone:)

First thing you get when you start is to walk across the bridge with this view of the waterfall/dam. A pretty good way to start off.

So I made it all the way over to the big waterfall after doing the loop. As I hiked up and around, it looked like the path would allow me to walk right across the bridge above the dam. When I got there, though, the gate was locked and there was a 'No Access' sign so I had to walk all the way back around and take the other bridge back to the other side. It's too bad. It would have made a good 360 photo right in the middle of the bridge.

I'm glad I got this hike in during the morning. The clouds sort of rolled in later in the afternoon and the pictures wouldn't have turned out as good without the sun. It's also pretty rare that I'm walking through the woods without my dogs. I sort of forgot how much noise they make smashing and panting their way through the trees, which scares a lot of animals. Without them around, you can hear all kinds more birds, squirrels, mice, and rabbits doing there thing as you walk by. The woods seems a little bit more alive without them scaring everything away.

Sort:

the gate was locked and there was a 'No Access' sign

Its really too bad...
and you these images are very beautiful i like this wood's path very much.
its nice that you took these images in Sun's Light otherwise I can not Enjoy them....
Good work @stephen.kiing989

Thank you. I think they would have still been good if it was cloudy. It's just the sun makes them much better.

You are right and why it seems that its water is blue??

That's all very nice with the pictures but lets hope that by this time next year you are busy packing up to move back to the Maritimes.

Very beautiful Trip.I hope you enjoyed it @stphen.king989

Most Welcome brother.

Wao what a scene bro. What is the name of this little plant?

I'm not entirely sure. It looks like it could be some sort of ladies slipper, but the leaves look a little different. Maybe somebody else can correct me.
