After visiting the "Fish Hatchery" in Connetquot River State Park I took the yellow trail back the mile route.

There were signs explaining things along the way.
The woods were unimpressive since a fire came through here in 1977. The woods on the east side of the river should be more mature and diverse.
Some big dead Pitch Pine trees left over from the fire.
Back on the asphalt road and headed home. But I will be back in the near future for another walk with pictures.
Looks a lovely walk, great to take dogs and enjoy the fresh air :)

Lot more to see and show. Hopefully after my dental appointment tomorrow I can scoot over there for another shot of nature.

This is nice and easy walk that is quite calming and restful! This would energise my whole brain after walking among these trees.

There are miles of trails in this park. Hope to go back tomorrow for a bit more. :-)
Still nice to see some green, flouishing plant life there! Great vatiety of scenery.
