Walk With Me Colorado Springs - Part Three
It's been a busy few days, finally have the chance to sit at my laptop and get some writing work done. But before that, time to take a walk around part of a local park!
Wednesday after work I went on a short hike with friend around Palmer Park. This is a great little gem in my city. It has a small children's playground, dog park, and sand volleyball courts. The rest of it is full of hiking trails around and up the rocks and hill, with a lookout point at the top.
There's still a small tree decorated with ornaments. Because why not?
As we treated this as more of a relaxed coddiwomple then a determined hike, we randomly followed splits in the trail. Somehow we managed to mostly stay on the same trail the majority of the time, on the east side of the bluffs.
Oops. Hiking partner made it in the picture!
It was a fun little jaunt which allowed me to figure out my new GoPro.
Oh, and I always try to find at least one tree not too far off the trail to hug. Because nature and our world are amazing, and they deserve some love too.
And yes, I am wearing different socks. Because life is too short for matching ones.
I have never been there but your photos are lovely and make me want to go there..soon.
It's a really great place to explore. There's a lot of hiking trails as well, so it's really good for visiting over and over again.
I see that awesome
Tree hugging is great! 🌲💚
