First , this post was inspired by @krazykrista post Kids do have bad days, you can read up. Looking at it critically, you definitely know kids do need help to conquer their daily emotional troubles, most people with mental issues begins when they were kids and it developed to an adult stage because no attention was given to them. An African parent will ask What kind of problem could kids be having, when they don't have responsibilities? Over here, kids are not suppose to be having issue of any sort and they believes only adults should. I will put myself in the picture, while growing up. Whenever I have emotional issues to contend with, no one understands me and if I say I won't be going to school, I get caned for it. How about I need someone to lean on, :white_frowning_face: :slightly_frowning_face: no attention. Then I didn't wake up as early as 6:00 a.m, my journey to the dreamland gets cut short with the swing of a whip. My parents do not know that this particular treatment can add to my mental instability. Lets say I was trying to solve a puzzle while sleeping and got the whip, I will wake up looking confused and the first thing that comes to mind is run.

I have seen a lot of foreign movies and read some stories on the blockchain and had the conclusion that kids born in Europe and America are treated with care and their parents tries to understand them the best possible way they can and provide the necessary help to enable them carry out their daily task. If they couldn't solve the issue, they take them to see a therapist or psychologist. It will sound so funny when you talk to an a typical African family about this. And this lackadaisical attitude from most parents has led to various kids low performance in school and when they have this fear in them, they can't relate issue to their family without making another issue out of it.. When a child does something wrong and when the whip comes to mind as a mode of correction, the child is already having a bad day. It got to the point that whenever I accidentally break something in the kitchen and my parent ain't home, I simply keep no trace of the broken object and when they need it and its no where to be found, I had to lie to save my ass.

Though We Survived through the hard way and we were able to put ourselves together but with time, I got to understand, a child whose parents understand and care for properly tends to perform well academically, socially and relate with others better.

Total child care is critical. Children who receive inclusive care for both parents are 3.0 times likely to develop and express stronger self-esteem and confidence than children who do not receive same. Well done @yungchief
