  7. He decided to abstain from drinking alcoholic drinks.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. She kept in contact with her daughter by texting on her cellphone.

  2. All his savings were in cryptocurrency, so he had no tangible assets.

  3. The treaty was contingent on being ratified by the parliaments in both states.

  4. He needed to attain a certificate testifying to his competency, before he got the job.

  5. The voter decided to abstain in the general election as there was no party that represented his views.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. She kept in contact with all the professional colleages she met at the business conference.

  2. He attached his house key to the key-ring on his belt.

  3. The contract included a number of contingent liabilities listed in the appendix.

  4. Emmanuel Macron attained the French Presidency at age 39.

  5. She abstained from eating chocolate during Lent.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. She searched for her old address book in order to be able to contact her friends for Christmas.

  2. He decided to sell his shares and turn his paper gains into tangible cash.

  3. E-mail attachments are sometimes infected with viruses.

  4. He wasn't able to drink alcohol until he attained the age of 21.

  5. The MP decided to abstain from the vote in Parliament.

Re #4, the ability to drink alcohol has almost nothing to do with age. I know!!

"MY VOCAB PRACTICE."

  1. Contact.
    I tried to contact an old friend via telephone, but she never did answer.

  2. Tangible.
    She wanted tangible results from the staff in the form of sales and profit.

  3. Attach.
    The assistant was to attach the copies to the original before mailing the bills to the customer, along with the receipt for services rendered.

  4. Attachment.
    The little puppy had an immediate attachment to his new owner.

  5. Contingent.
    Winning the prize is contingent upon filling out the correct information and including your phone number, including area code.

  6. Attain
    She will attain the position of head chef after she receives her diploma from the culinary school.

  7. Abstain.
    She was forced to abstain from all physical activity until her incision healed properly.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Ms. Sunshine contacted her star employee to be present for an important meeting.

  2. The star employee was responsible for the tangible increase in clients and profit that year.

  3. His end of year bonus was contingent on his achievements.

  4. Attached to his BIG bonus cheque was a thank you card for his dedication and hard work.

  5. The star employee was very happy to attain this reward and recognition for a job well done.

  6. Ms. Sunshine took a photo of him and his team and sent it to the staff as an email attachment to share the great news.

  7. The star employee had to abstain from laughing out loud because he stole all those clients from his coworker who did all the work for him.

I believe the "star employee" attained his status because he knew the secret to getting ahead ... backstabbing!

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Abstain:
    Peter abstained from touching the plastic ice-cream because the kids' mouths was all over it.

  2. Attach:
    If I attach Him and Sigmond to the rope and sling shot, how far do you think they will go?

  3. Contingent:
    Most people who have come to steemit are contingent on the price of steem being high.

  4. Tangible:
    Working everyday toward the goal you have in mind is tangible because you won't be trying to learning or do it all in one day.

  5. Attain:
    I will attain mastery over the electrical current once I stop trying to control it.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

The lost of money in banking institution is a tangible loss.
3-Attach
The virus attached itself to the document.
4-Attachment
The attachment he felt with is different from yours.
5 Contingent
The success of the project is contingent to his hardwork.
6 Attain
He was to attain a professional certificatr or get fire
7- abstain.
He was asked to abstain from alcoholic drinks
