  4. Lots of people detest the salty taste of Marmite.

  5. Those who die instestate in the UK have all their property given to the Crown (govt).

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. The recent increase in the pump price of fuel in France lead to a street protest.
  2. Mr. John's testimony at the court house was totally different from what he had earlier told the prosecuting counsel.
  3. I would only testify in the robbery case, if I am guaranteed witness protection.
  4. The defense counsel was dropped from the case because everyone detest having him in court given his recent bribery scandal.
  5. The rich old man died intestate hence all his assets where transfered to the state.

In #1, you incorrectly spelled the word as "lead." The past tense of "lead" is "LED," NOT "lead." This is a very common error, even among native English speakers.

Please be careful with it .... or else you might be mistaken for a native English speaker!!!!

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

Many women who are pro-choice came to the rally to protest their beliefs against the opposing party.

  1. The trial will not be able to proceed unless a testimony witness comes forward to testify.

  2. The witness finally came forward and testified to the court about the incident he saw.

  3. He detests seeing a horror movie with his friends at the theater, so he wasn’t having a good time.

  4. Although the mother wasn’t able to do up a legal write intestate with an attorney she was able to do it verbally with her children just before she passed away.

  1. Americans hate to have public protests, they deal with dissent by filing a barrage of law-suits instead.

  5. He died intestate as he couldn't decide who to leave his fortune to and dithered and delayed making his will.

    The protest at the White House lasted well into the night.

  2. Testimony.
    The testimony she gave to the jury seemed credible.

  3. Testify.
    She had to testify that she was raped at gunpoint, and had to face the person sitting across from her in the courtroom.

  4. Detest.
    I know she had to detest getting up on that witness stand.

  5. Intestate.
    My parents each had a will and thankfully didn't pass away intestate.
