Vice Industry Token (VIT) has just released their mainnet and the blockchain is now live.

VIT is a softfork of the STEEM blockchain and the VIT network will essentially be very similar to the STEEM network in its functionality and the way in which people are rewarded. You need to vest VIT, similar to what happens on the STEEM network and your 'power' of your vote will be determined by how much 'VIT Power' you have.

The difference will be that the VIT network will host some of the taboo 'Vices' of Porn, Gambling and Cannabis. It will be interesting as Porn is a huge money spinner across the globe and I am excited to see how this platform performs. There are many 'adult performers' out there that are keen to use their 'prowess' to provide content to the VIT platform and Playboy and Stormy Daniels already confirming that they will accept VIT as payment for their sites.

There will also be a social site for interacting and 'blogging' in addition to the 'Touch.tube' site which will focus on video content.

Currently VIT is taking registrations for usernames and accounts. You need to send 1500VIT to a unique address when registering and then this is vested once your new account is verified. At the moment I believe that accounts are being manually verified with the network currently registering accounts over the next 5 days before going fully live.

I am excited to see if this is something that the crypto-universe accepts and if the platform and token grow over the next 12 months. Steem has been a great success so far, so i cannot see how VIT will not be successful in it's own 'niche' market.
