Verge (XVG) had been building up lately as its developers announced they were going to launch a partnership with a "vast network of high traffic websites." Speculation was rampant sine then as the cryptocurrency raised 75 million XVG for the partnership.

While there has been a TON of controversy since then - including a 51% attack and a situation with Ledger - the cryptocurrency's team finally revealed who the BIG partner i, and it's MindGeek, a company that owns most major porn websites, including Pornhub, Brazzers, RedTube, and more.

Per reports, its ads have over 3 billion impressions per month, which will give the cryptocurrency ecosystem tremendous exposure. Moreover, people can now use Verge to pay for premium content on these websites, which is set to improve demand for the cryptocurrency by a LOT - meaning demand just surged.

Verge's markets include various crypto exchanges, but I personally use Bittrex. As expected, a lot of people dumped XVG as soon as the news came out, as they bought the rumor and sold the news, a common strategy.

As we can see the privacy-oriented cryptocurrency already found stable ground and is already trying to recover. Despite the initial shock this is indeed crazy good news for XVG and I'm seeing it surge in the next few months as more and more people use XVG to pay for premium content - I bought some XVG in this dip.

What do you make of this? Are these good news?

The driver of all tech would seem to push a cryptocurrency up, not down. There's probably something not right with the deal or people just expected more.

Definitely think the dump wasn't as bid as it would've been if the whole thing was a flop. I'm kind of bullish on Verge now, it's got an actual use case
