On the border with Colombia, more than 2,300 liters of Venezuelan gasoline are seized

The Colombian Tax and Customs Police seized two procedures on the roads that connect the city of Cúcuta with localities near the border with Venezuela, a total of 2,380 liters of contraband fuel valued at the equivalent in bolivars of 40 million.

According to the police report, in the first procedure carried out at the height of the pipeline near the Cúcuta Model Prison, some 580 kilometers from the border with Venezuela, three motorcycles with grills adapted to transport plastic containers were intercepted. with fuel.

Near the place, in one of the trails known as El Porvenir, the uniformed closed the way to three Venezuelan plaque vehicles that inside loaded with plastic containers filled with gasoline in order to market it in Cúcuta.

After reviewing the fuel, it was determined that the product does not correspond to that distributed by the Colombian company Ecopetrol. The 2,380 liters of gasoline, as well as the vehicles were subjected to judicial process. Four people were arrested and are being prosecuted for the offense of favoring contraband established in Colombian criminal law.
