In my country, hospital care was free of charge many years ago. Only if we wanted very personal attention and we had money, we consulted private clinical centers.
Now all that is over. From bad to worse.
It was free with us too. Next we had to pay extra to the specialist (doctor) in hospital.
After that paying extra but if you never visited a doctor they gave a refund of 300 euros.
Next that was over and higher fees, after that paying the first amount yourself, dentist checkup no longet included and so on.
Yearly the monthly fee goes up and what the insurance pays is getting less.
It's no longer allowed to go to the ER, it's hard to call an ambulance and the doctor is a part timer who works with a group others and you can only call between 8-16 but they prefer you to do it online with a certain app. It takes 3 months in average and you need to fill out what your isdue it, what you did to cure yourself, and so on. By the time you have an appointment you are cured or dead. :(
With you it sounds even worse :(
