Is it because of oil and shortages? Many countries are experiencing shortages due to the oil situation, and my country is as well, though not in the area where I live. It's sad that we are moving into a new world of technology, yet the basic need to run it all is so reliant on oil.

These paintings seem hard to write about, although I notice the painter's affliction with beaches, like seaside settings and the portrayal of women. Most of the paintings are of women, and although most painters I see do that too, even when there are men in a painting, they are mere objects used to enact the mysteriousness of the women in the picture. I like the last one alot.
