Each time you purchase an animal product such as meat, eggs, and dairy you are directly supporting animal suffering and horrific cruelty. Christians should be merciful to all beings, and should be a light to the world in compassion, mercy, and love. Turning a blind eye to the endless sufferings of beings that need our protection is not Christian, it is cruel, merciless, and hard-hearted.
