There are plenty of different RV rental services out in the market today. But one man up in Canada is looking to do things a little differently, in introducing the Airbnb of RV rentals; it's called Wheel Estate.

It's estimated that there are at least 1 million RVs that are personally owned in the country and many of them are not used for a number of months throughout the year.

The new Wheel Estate platform can help to link up those who are looking to rent an RV for an affordable vacation, with those who want to make some extra money off of their property that is sitting there unused.

In the U.S., there is Outdoorsy which does the same thing: matches RV property owners with customers looking to rent.

The creator the business, Chad Ball, says that he wants to give everyone a chance to experience what it is like to go exploring behind the wheel of an RV. It has been a long journey of trying to get this business to full realization; he had to endure at least six years of struggle to set up the proper insurance for his endeavor.

At the moment, the site has about 200 private listings of different RV options, as well as pop-up tents and fifth wheels.

It's already helping to connect travelers and RV owners in a number of different provinces. And you can find many cost effective options on the site; there is a variety of RV and camper options to choose from to rent; something for everyone.

P2P For Boats

You can now find peer-to-peer rentals for not only houses, cars, warehouses, and trailers, but you can find them for boats too; with options like Boatsetter, GetMyBoat, Boatbound, and Nautical Monkey.

P2P networking enables people to become their own service provider or a consumer of those services and they don't need to ask permission before making a voluntary exchange with another person in the market.

By putting their property to work for them, a number of people around the world have been able to pay off their mortgages, car financing, and take care of their other daily necessities. Because things like Lyft, Airbnb, Uber etc, have given them a platform to get out there and provide value to other people in the market. By helping others they in-return help themselves.

When it comes to vacation trends in the U.S., it looks like the week-long all inclusive vacation types aren't as popular any longer. According to a recent survey, it was found that more Americans are now opting to go for long-weekend trips over the traditional week-long vacation.

Rather than leaving once a year for one week, more are opting to leave several times throughout the year for a shorter period of time. No doubt looking to aim for those 3-day long weekends. And for those who are looking to plan the perfect vacation for themselves, services like Wheel Estate, Airbnb, Uber, Lyft, and Boatsetter etc, are there to help meet their needs.
