Introducing Steem Compare - My First Steem-js Project
Hey everyone, I would like to introduce my first steem-js project Steem Compare. I am new to steem/steemit and have been fascinated by all of the sites/projects/apps that are running on the network or use it’s data. As a developer I had to get involved.

Steem Compare allows you to easily see account information for multiple accounts at once. I have used steemd, steemnow and steem.rocks over the past week to see extra details about my account. As a new user I constantly find myself looking at other users account information trying to figure out how everyone uses steem. I wanted a way to view multiple accounts at once, I didn’t find anything online (although I’ll admit i did not look far, also projects might have strange names) so I made it.
The project is built onto of the fantastic steem-js library. Big shout out and thanks to @stoodkev for his steemjs tutorials, would have taken a lot longer without those walk throughs. It was super fast to pull this initial version together. Still early days, many wayts to improve on this.
A couple features spring to mind to add next -
- Sorting & filtering after search
- Highlighting if powering down.
- if the user is re-investing or sending to exchange.
- if the user uses upvote accounts
I would also like to bring in some extra information perhaps -
- Average Weekly rewards
- latest rewards
- Average user engagement

sounds like a nice Idea. if you are following other accounts, bloggers or just friends it can be interesting to see how they evolve .

Hey, thanks for checking it out. You're right can be very interesting and nothing wrong with a little bit of healthy competition between friends. I'd like to add a feature that allows people to save groups for their communities and have leaderboards with extra stats, think it could be fun.

Yeah I am not such a big blogger so I decided to check out how the delegation works.

I think the delegation can work very well to earn more steem, especially for people with a lot of steem power or like you mention those who blog less. Hopefully I have enough to delegate myself in future.
Nice idea! And lots of potential to add elements - rankings for each metric might be a nice place to start!
Oh, and when you add a second set of names, it could check that you haven't already got them shown in the existing comparison to prevent doubling.
Thanks for finding this one! Just fixed. I thought I had it figured but introduced another bug, all cleared up now. I could do with adding some error handling to notify the user, also for things like trying to add accounts that don't exist.
