I am one of the user of the fritzing software and everytime I construct a circuit I wanted to see the output of my circuit first before I will fabricate the PCB layout to ensure that the circuit output is the desired output. But unfortunately, no measuring devices can be found in this application. In order to cope up with the other software, fritzing must include this feature for a better circuit simulator.

For the continuous development of this application, a feature of electronics measuring device must be added in the tools so that users can work well with their electronic projects using this software.

In the figure below, it is the basic operational amplifier circuit using the Arduino Uno. To check the output of the amplifier we need a measuring device, like oscilloscope.

In this application, we can see at the top menu, theres no tools included and also at rights side, we can just see the electronic components, no measuring devices.

To verify, I will search oscilloscope in the search engine at the right.

As you can see, not found. No display of oscilloscope.

Let’s try the multimeter.

Again, no display of multimeter device.

So here is my suggestion

This tool icon is composed of all the necessary measuring devices that can be useful in creating an electronic project or in troubleshooting electronic projects.

The Fritzing application will now look like this

By clicking this icon, it will display like this below.

With this development, many users will be satisfied because they can see the output of the circuit or can measure the parameters of their circuit.

Conclusion

During circuit testing, it is always done in measuring the output of the circuit, if there are no measuring devices, and then we cannot verify the circuit’s functionality. In most electronic maintenance, it is very useful to have these measuring devices in order to troubleshoot the circuit.

I hope this suggestion will help in developing a better and user friendly fritzing software.
