Roguelike codebase for Unity

Roguelike Core for Unity

Login proof

There already exists a roguelike tutorial from the people at Unity, but there are quite a few design choices they made that I really did not like, the most obvious one being the use of coroutines to guess when an action will complete based on the estimated time it would take.

I decided to write my own roguelike core code, and looking through the internet, I found this excellent article on a design of a core loop for a roguelike. As I found the entire design online, I decided to naturally make my own version of the code open source and publish it under creative commons 0 license, for everyone to use however they like.

Features covered in this project:

Actors: Player, basic enemy.
Actions, with hierarchy: Bump attack -> Move -> Rest (do nothing).
Energy: Gain one energy every loop, execute when you have enough energy.
Basic player input: WASD.
Weapon: Generic melee weapon with damage stat.
Ranged Weapon: Generic weapon that can be used at range.
Destructible component that has HP.
Board manager: Very basic grid.
Action state: Idle/Executing/Finished: Which allows an animation to be inserted into the update method of the action.
A* pathfinding for enemies.

This is my first post on utopian.io, so I hope I did it correctly.

Will do, thanks.

There is a screenshot of my logged in session in github, as is described in the rules. I'm not sure what else I need to provide.
