A new logo for Bugzilla
Hello,
I would like to present you my suggestion for Bugzilla logo. Bugzilla is an open source server software for managing software development. It is a bug tracking system and I have seen some nice options to make better logo for this project.
Details
I wanted to create simple yet nice logo, which would work good in a small size and also in one color variant. The bug symbol is a matter of course and I wanted to add also some symbol of tracking or dealing with bugs.
So I started with sketching.
When I had some ideas, I started with work in Corel Draw. I made some versions until I fond the right one.
Here is the process.
Then I could choose some suitable font. According to the round lines I have chosen Prototype font. I was not sure about the tilt of the image, so I tried three versions, but finaly decided for the second one.
I wanted the logo to feel pleasantly without strong shades, so green and turqoise was my choice.
Benefits / Improvements
The old logo is quite outdated and too complicated. It does not work well in one color variant and it has lots of small details. My logo is simple, works in small size and one color variant. It represents melting or removing of bugs.
I also made the icon versions.
