Bug Reporting: Self Reblog in busy.org
When busy were conducting their private beta-testing for busy.org, I heard about it through the announcement on their own blog on steemit @busy.org, and decided to participate in this initiative to help identify any bugs that could have made their way into the system.
This bug pertains to an important functionality on busy, which is known as the 'Reblog' option on the busy.org site:
On Steemit, we know this functionality as 'Resteem'.
This feature basically allows users to share content from their feed onto their own blog. Clicking on Reblog/Resteem is an irreversible action and allows users to share other's content to their own followers and the shared content is forever present on their personal blog.
About Busy:
Busy is another great website on the steem blockchain. I alternate between the steemit and busy websites for posting/accessing content. Additionally, busy has a lot of distinct features and an interesting layout that makes it very appealing to use.
The Issue:
Reblog is a popular option used by several people on their blog to share content and help more people discover content from other people, with the likelihood of people appreciating other's content with a vote/follow. The issue identified involves a functionality which is not allowed, and doesn't really make sense - allowing users to reblog their own post.
Screens of the issue:
- The user could see the 'Reblog' option on their own post (The below being a screen from my blog 'jznsamuel' on busy).
- On clicking on 'Reblog' on own post, the popup to confirm post Reblog could be seen (The user is shown the options to either Cancel or Confirm the irreversible action).
Steps to identify/reproduce the issue:
If you are the user, on the home page of your blog where you can see the list of all your created content, you can see the reblog option for your own post.
Testing Environment
The site was tested in below environment:
Operating System - Windows 10
Browser - Google Chrome
Issue Reported:
The issue was immediately reported to busy developer @fabien after being identified. He and his team are doing an incredible job on the site. He confirmed the bug and below screens show proof of Bug reporting.
It is a great feeling to contribute to such great open source projects, and the identification of bugs can assist developers in resolving issues and helps them create an optimal version of the website.
Moreover, the bug that I had reported has now been rectified, the reblog functionality is not present on the own blog of the user. Instead, the user can see an 'edit' option and the following is how it is now:
There are several open source projects out there which could do with the help, and it is a wonderful way to not only imbibe new skills but can assist in enhancing present skills.

Almost approved. You should avoid mentioning people that are not connected with the contribution. You also write a bug report so parts describing the project are unnecessary. I suggest you remove them.

Updated! I'd rather keep the part about busy, if its alright, as it's my thoughts on the site... Let me know, thanks!
This time, I let it be but next time you should write only about the issue and this part is general information or your opinion on the website.
Hey @jznsamuel I am @utopian-io. I have just super-voted you at 22% Power!
