New Features

• Search was added thanks to AskSteem

Credits to the provider of API are given when the user is not performing any search action. Once the user perform a search it will either return the results or tell the user that there are not results for this query:

• Peerjs was bootstrapped to the application to start working in the peer-to-peer chat for the application. PeerJs server is actually running in a public node until I deploy my own version. Basically, the server will establish a connection between the two clients and they can connect directly. There is not server interaction other than signaling. To store the messages, SQL lite database will be used.

Technical Changes

• Some of the dependencies were outdated causing some glitches in the Ionic build. This was fixed by updating the modules.

• Statusbar was overlapping the header when performing a search. This was fixed by tweaking the configuration of the Ionic module:

• Before, observables were always listening for data even if this page was not active. However, it was fixed by handling them correctly and unsubscribing after destroying the view. It helps to avoid memory leak.

• Dynamical menus were activated depending on the login state of the app. Also, the menu actually displays data from the current logged in user

• Method to open post page was removed from each individual page and was added to the post renderer component. By doing this, we can avoid operations of passing data between components and thus, less code and memory used.

• Forkjoin added to the method to get the profile details to join stats and profile data. Before, this was done in two steps using two different methods.

• More endpoints were added to handle all the possible data that Steemit can handle.

• Live/Hot reload patched to work with Cordova plugins.

• Better implementation of RxJs by using distinctUntilChanged, switchmaps, debouncers, publishReplay, refCount.

General Changes

• Scrollbars were disabled after seeing how it used to look in computers with the mouse connected.
• Menus were re-organized to display the correct entries.
• Promoted post were added to the tab in the spot of filters. Now, filters belong to the header.
• State of the search handled to determine whether are results or not.
• Unused dependencies removed and some files as well.
