Utopian.io GIF Contest

Today I have created a GIF for Utopian-io contest. I am not a professional as you can see in my GIF. I just wanted to do this for fun.
Here is my process;

1st Step:
I opened the source picture that utopian gave in photoshop. And cut the guy out, created a copy of the background layer

2nd Step:
I filled the empty background where the person was with the Healing Brush tool, and move him up a little bit using the move tool and 'up' key so it would look like he was jumping off the wall(?)

3rd Step:
I selected the edge of the wall with the polygon selection tool and cut a new layer of it so the guy would look like he was in front of the wall.

4th Step
I moved the guy all the way down and I added the 'OpenSource' text. Then I hid the other layers and aligned the text so it would look -kinda- like the guy was holding on to the text.

5th Step
I duplicated and grouped the guy and the 'OpenSource' text together and merged them. Then made the other layers visible again

6th Step
I then moved the merged item up till the guy was back on top of the wall. Made the copies of the guy and 'opensource' text visible again alaigned them according to the merged ones. Hid the merged picture and started moving the 'opensource' text underneath the utopian logo. When it came to a point where the text was giong on top of utopian-io text I selected the utopian-io text with magic wand , made duplicate layer of it, moved it above the 'OpenSource' text's layer so the 'opensource' would look like it was behind the 'utopian-io' text. And then I continued on moving the text to its proper place

7th step
I put the 'economy' text in and added the colored utopian-io logo in too. I aligned the logo to its proper place. I put the text and the logo's transperancy to 0 and gradually increased it while taking screencaps.

8th step
Then I put my images to giphy and tried adding text to the first few frames and the last one but there were no such function to add text to individual frames. So I went back to photoshop to add the texts to first few and the last frames then took screencaps of those frames one more time. I deleted the unnecesary frames and copied the first few and the last frame 4-5 times so the texts would be more readable. Then I uploaded the pictures again to giphy but it took very long so I used ScreenToGif software to make the gif. After the gif was done the gif at gifhy had finished too so I put them both.

My intention was to make a point on how beneficial open source is but it didn't turn out what I imagined it to be. As what the guy says doesn't make too much sense and my photoshop "skills" made it worse.
But I hope you'd still appreciate the effort I put into this silly thing :D
