Utopian.io GIF Contest (my entry)

I enjoy making gif animations in my thinking time late at night. I had a thought for an entry into the Utopian.io GIF contest, and decided that I would like to submit it.

Here is my gif entry.

I made this image in Macromedia Flash 5. My copy was a gift from my brother over 17 years ago and I still use it on an old computer. Macromedia, which was purchased by Adobe works in vectors, and all of this imagery was made with vector tracings of the logos that I made for illustration use. To make the jar, I traced the reflection from a similar looking jar in pixabay and used that on my own drawing with transparency. To make this animation smooth, I first made the animated Steem bouncing around with a fade in effect. In order to keep the animation from looking jumpy; I then doubled the number of Steem starting from the last frame position and completed the animation of them with a fade out effect from the first frame position.

Because my original work was in flash vectors I had to rasterize my .swf format file into an animated .gif. For that I use a program called Total Gif Animator which I bought the license for last month. It handles the conversion to gif much better than my version of flash and so it's worth the jump through hoops.

The result is a jar with Steem bouncing around, and out, as if it were unleashed upon the environment. This is my first contribution to Utopian, I figured that it was time to dive in!

I am unsure how to share the raw .fla file to this animation but i created a repository for the files if i can figure it out.
