A Space for Featured Posts

It would be awesome to be able to feature posts on our Steemit account, just like how you can feature favorite photos on your Facebook page.

My partner and I are actively recruiting people to Steemit. We talk to friends, families, and even strangers about steemit. We manage to explain to them what the platform is about but the real challenge is giving them instruction on what to do after they sign up for their account. I usually tell them to already read up on some Steemit posts while they're waiting for their account to be approved. I always recommed @surpassinggoogle's posts because I find them very helpful. He has his ways in making Steemit friendly to newbies. But even if I give them them the link to Terry's account, they'd have a hard time looking for the posts that I would like them to read because of all the resteemed posts. And if I start giving them a list of links, I'm afraid it will just turn them off. My sister actually went inactive after signing up for her account. She confessed she got overwhelmed and did not know where to start; I'm now thinking it might be my fault for giving her too many "assignments"

I believe it would be so much better if I am able to point them to those helpful posts by just giving them the link to my Steemit account. All they have to do is click the posts under Featured Posts and they'll get to read on content which I feel will help them.

This Feature will also be useful to Steemians who are offering their services like the ones who are participating in Steemgigs. Supporters of such services may also feature those posts so other Steemians may know of the service being offered.

Steemians can also use this feature to promote their own posts that they are proud of or maybe feature their Introductory post there so that whoever visits their page would get to read that even if it's already buried under tons of posts and resteemed content. It will be a way for Steemians to really personalize their Steemit accounts. Bringing the Human behind the Steemian into the platform.

The feature is something Steemit users may edit from the Settings page. From there, they could add up to 3 links to posts that they want to be "pinned" on the right side of their screen.
