I had ever thought that steemit is the super hero of social media as it was built on a blockchain and people can earn from posting on it. It had been fun, and as i saw that i can view other people's account even their wallet, see their transactions and their balances. It began to become a burden to me when i noticed that there was no messenger or chat integrated into the system.

I was so disappointed because i had wished steemit it had a messenger or chat built into it. What we have is steemit.chat which is a seprate website from steemit. What i am suggesting is that messages and chats should be fully integrated into steemit.com. i am suggesting that the chat or messenger should be close to what we have on twitter.com, which will be easily accessible to users and this does not affect the use of memo in any way. The messages should be stored on the steemit site as it is on twitter, i believe it would be easy since steemit was built as a social media.

Come to think of it

A social media is not complete without messenger or chat.

Benefits:

  • This will help steemit to be more organised rather than having a system where you have to send your message through a memo as in the screenshot below.

  • Privacy is preserved as other people will not infringe on chat messages. I respect the fact that steemit is trying to make everything transparent in such a way that just anybody can come to your account and view what messages you sent via the memo, but i believe its
    cooler to have a messenger or chat fully integrated into the system.

  • It helps to bring all tools needed into a place. Sometimes it is frustrating for me to leave steemit just to view messages that are sent to me concerning the steemit planet. I have to leave the site and go to steemit.chat which takes forever to load especially when my browsing signal strength is low.
    Or i have to go to discord app.

These and more are the benefits of integrating a chat or messenger into busy.org.

    In you recommendation, where are the messages stored? In the blockchain?

      The messages cannot be stored on the blockchain, since the blockchain has a wider scope and it is like a foundation to many project. The messages can be stored on or integrated in the steemit site. Take for example busy.org, messages are integrated on the site
