Components

Steemplus is a browser extension that adds plenty of features to your Steemit (mostly) , Busy and Utopian experience.

Proposal Description

Steemplus is one of the tools that I use daily. However, when using multiple accounts from the same device, it is a tool that must be used with care. When you log out with steemit the steemplus tool keeps the session open. When a new session is opened with a different account, the previous session will remain open and may lead to some transactions being carried from the wrong account.

Image to show the open session in steemit.

Currently when one displays the tool's menu the user's name is displayed and it is more difficult to fall into some confusion.

Log in from a different account, without closing the session in steemplus.

It is a little less clear when a transfer is made, where again when handling multiple accounts there may be discrepancy.

The session has been opened in steemit with mosqueteros, while the session in steemplus is associated with zenkly

At the moment of making a publication for utopian the problem is aggravated a little more, since there is no indicator of the account in which it will be published.

Clicking on "Post with Utopian" the post will be published in the account opened in Steemplus, even though it is different from the account opened in steemit.

My suggestion is that steemplus should log out automatically when logging out of steemit. An alternative would be to send a warning message. That way it would be more difficult to make mistakes on the part of the user. Another suggestion is to add the profile image of the user in transparency in the steemplus session button.

Benefits

By implementing these small changes, errors could be avoided due to the carelessness of the users. The transactions in steemit are permanent therefore it is better to prevent them from happening.

This is not only aimed at people who have multiple accounts since it can also happen that many people use the same device. For the case in which many people use the same device, it would also improve security when using the extension since the person could close his steemit account forgetting to close the steemplus account. This could cause a third party to post or vote from an account that does not belong to him.

Hello @zenkly Thank you for contributing through Utopian

Those ideas you are proposing seems pleasant and could increase the value of the project If the info can fly up at whatever point user signed out of the application.

However, it is as yet a minor improvement as this could be controlled for users that have a full comprehension of how steemplus functions.

In any case, you could give more subtle elements on the Components section to enable better understanding for readers as far as features, uses, applications and potential user-base

I see you proposed two thoughts, you ought to have divided the two ideas and clarify inside and out what you consider those ideas.
Thank you!!!
