Digibyte is suffering from inflated supply

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

Old ASIC miners no longer able to compete in btc due to difficulty rise have been turned towards mining DGB instead.

They mine, and then dump the DGB in favour of BTC. Just one single miner I know off is currently dumping almost 900 000 dgb a day into a low demand market, driving down the price.
This is a major factor in the steady decline in price. Good old hyperinflation.

However, the devs are on it and all ASIC minable algorithms will be swapped for gpu and posssibly cpu and hdd minable algos first months of 2018.

So, don't expect any major spikes in price to stick around for long for the next 2 months. It's buying time if you want to be ready for 2018's alt season!
