Translation's reason

I am so pleased to start the translation of the OpenCart's project.

As you maybe already know, I used to have with another person an e-commerce activity. I worked with Amazon and for some time with eBay. The thing that a lot of people don't know about this websites is that is not so easy to try to sell a product with them. When you start to sell your products, for example on Amazon, it is very difficult to list a product. I know that this can be seen as a simple thing to do: you have to register your company in the website, send all the documentation that it needs, get approved and then you can start selling. To start selling you have, as I said before, to list your products and it is not that simple! You don't have only to upload some images and write a description and a title: you must have a profound knowledge of the website which is not that intuitive.
Even more difficult is to try to create your e-commerce website! For simple merchants is difficult to start from nothing and build a website, especially if they don't know where to start.
OpenCart is a completely opensource project so it is of a great value for the community. OpenCart can gives you a friendly interface to use and has a lot of features that give you the amazing opportunity to customize your store as you like. Thanks to it's integrated SEO, you can manage in a very easy way, products, clients, promotional codes and others. In their website (simply search on Google) there are a lot of videos helping you in every step that you have to make to give life to your dream. Everything is very intuitive and simple!
Translating the computer strings about this awesome project will be a pleasure for me, because I think that it can be very important to spread it all over the world and especially in Italy where the concept of working from home and having an e-commerce activity is still very far from being taken into consideration and even accepted!

Contribution specifications

As in the previous translated projects, my work will be to translate computer strings from the English language into the Italian one. As these are my first 1002 translated words, I can confirm that a lot of sentences are repeated a lot of times and for this reason I had to translate 2130 words to take into consideration 1002 words for the word count. Certainly with the next translation's posts I can add more details regarding this paragraph.

Translation Overview

Thanks to my knowledge about the e-commerce and the translation of the previous project, I did not find any difficulty to translate the first 1002 words. I remind your that the difficulty doesn't consist in the translation about every single word but in the context and in the knowledge about the arguments of every single project!

I would like to underline that this project has been translated for 50% from other Italian users so now I am translating the rest of it.
For this reason, sometime can happen that the computers strings are not well related to each other.

In my translation work, I found a lot of computer strings regarding the listings, about their upload and the saved ones.
There are also strings regarding the condition of the goods especially if they are used.
The important thing, as you can read from the strings, is that the user has to set the name of the product or the UPC, the EAN, the ISBN or the ASIN.
In addition there are strings regarding the characteristics of the images of the user's products.

Last but not least, there are several strings regarding Amazon's and eBay's listings linked to an user's profile on OpenCart. Linking the products with Amazon's and eBay's listings and the listings on OpenCart, the stock levels will be always updated!

About the link between Amazon and eBay and OpenCart

Linking your items will allow for stock control on your Amazon listings.
Successfully requested Listing Report from Amazon
This is the list of product listings which are saved and ready to be uploaded to Amazon.
For each item that is updated the local stock (the stock available in your OpenCart store) will update your eBay listing
Linked items are OpenCart items that have a link to an eBay listing.
A link cannot be created for an out of stock item. End the item manually on eBay.
Your eBay listing will be updated with your local stock levels!

Languages

The original strings are written in English and I translated them into Italian. I have been selected by the DaVinci team as a translator thanks to my knowledge of the English language gained during my 3 years of stay in London. You can read my application post HERE
