Suggestion to Add a Feature that Saves Songs, Add to My Station and Add Most Played Stations

Components

Screamer radio is an open source project that allows users to play their radio stations worldwide as long the area is can reach by internet. Because of this, I can play radio stations form US, europe, asia even if I am not there. It is a great help specially if you want to experience trending music from places to places.

What I will suggest here in Screamer Radio Stations are as follows:

• My Stations - Users can pin their wanted stations.
• Saved Songs - Users can temporarily save songs from stations.
• Most Played Stations - Users can view his/her most played stations.

Details of these suggested feature is in the proposal part.

Proposal

What I am proposing here is to add this buttons.

Here are the functions of the suggested features.

1. My Stations

When we are listening on a radio, it is common to have a preferred stations to listen. With this feature, your preferred stations will be pinned or grouped into a one location (My Stations). So, users will not longer search for these stations to play. It is like a playlist for radio stations.

2. Saved Songs

The purpose of saved song is for the users who do not know the title of played song and he/she likes it. With this, users can temporarily save the song's details and later on he will be searching it on the internet. Song details are already in radio station played in screamer radio and to make it not redundant to add this feature. The intention of this is to save the song first if the user is busy and user will not forget it. He/she could back to it if he/she have spare time. This acts like pinning on the song.

3. Most Played Stations

It is a feature that records how often do you play the stations. It show a list of stations that are played most. The purpose of this if for the users to monitor his activity on what radio stations does he plays. Also, it will tell what genre of music does the user likes.

Mockups / Examples

Here are the examples on how the suggestion will work.

This is the current window for screamer radio.

The additional buttons will be placed at the bottom part besides the Stations, Log, Settings, and About buttons.

To add stations on "My Stations", Right click the station. There will be an addition option on the right click menu.

To save the song played on the station, Right click the song and save option on the right click menu.

And if you click the "Most Played Stations", This is what will happen.

Benefits

Here are the benefits is implemented:

1. Users will have a quick access on his/her preferred or favorite radio stations by the use of "My Stations" button.
2. Users can monitor his activity in which radio station he/she played often by the use of "Most Played Stations"
3. Users can temporarily save the song's details on "Save Songs".
